Cultivation

The wide collection of orchids we grow requires attention. Each species has its own growth habit and culture is not always predictable. For instance, there are species that like cold in a certain cultivation phase and others enjoy warmth, and the desired day lengths can also differ per species. It is challenging and also pioneering to get the best out of the plant and that is precisely why this cultivation is our passion. Whenever we get an orchid plant to bloom again, it always brings a smile.

Sustainability essential

Grown with love also means for us with love for people and nature. We are committed to environmentally and socially responsible solutions and are MPS SQ, MPS GAP and MPS A certified. 

In our nursery, we have over 400 solar panels as well as our own underground water storage and recirculation system, so we never have to use scarce tap water. We also have LED lighting with lower energy requirements.

And we remain committed to doing things a little better every day.

Bugs in the greenhouse

Did you know that we let nature take its course in the greenhouse? We put out all kinds of bugs and tiny insects in the greenhouse that can fight any pests or 'bad bugs'. We do this preventively and in addition we use natural plant juices and extracts that repel bad insects, or traps to catch snails.

Social

Every year, we supervise students during internships as a learning company. We do this with attention to real learning and we too learn from them. Activities are diverse and we give our staff the opportunity to develop themselves in a pleasant working environment, each at their own level.
